Push Protocol announced the release of Push Chain. This layer one blockchain connects chains, and integrates communications protocols with transactions on-chain.
The platform’s architecture supports interactions across EVM and non-EVM ecosystems, allowing developers to access wallet states from distinct networks without relying on fragmented infrastructure. Transactions can be executed from any chain, and the chain’s approach includes consumer-focused features intended to smooth user experiences through wallet and fee abstraction while parallel validators and dynamic sharding address throughput demands.
Push Chain allows builders to add more flexibility by adding consumer transactions. This allows applications to act as universal hubs in networks. This creates an environment in which developers can build shared-state smart contract that will read wallet data across chains.
Push Protocol—formerly known as EPNS—previously focused on delivering notifications and chat functionalities to decentralized applications and wallets. Now, these established communication protocol are integrated into the blockchain, transforming interactions into value-adding on-chain transactions. The chain’s architecture, along with sub-second finality, suggests a scalable foundation for various use cases, including social platforms, gaming, finance, and cross-chain NFT trading.
Push ID, a technology that uses a wallet address independent of the blockchain and supports direct interoperability. The design allows multiple wallets from different chains to be consolidated under one decentralized identification.
Push Protocol has previously extended its presence to include BNB Chain and other networks. This increased its reach. The new chain’s rollout will proceed in phases, beginning with consumer-centric applications, then interoperability layers, and finally, universal smart contracts and shared-state capabilities. Structured approach seems to be aligned with the aim of scaling web3 environments complex requirements.
Push Chain’s integration of notification and chat protocols into the core infrastructure indicates a shift from traditional communication layers to on-chain environments that treat messaging as data-rich transactions.
The chain’s compatibility with on-chain AI agents and applications may also open pathways to more advanced functionalities spanning multiple domains. The developer resources are available now, including whitepapers, simulation environments and explorer tools. Push Chain has also been launched on devnet.
A testnet with incentives and extra documentation are planned by the team, which aims to give developers a set of tools to create applications that can be accessed from any chain supported.
