Andreessen Horowitz’s (a16z) venture capital firm has bought Optimism OP Tokens for $90 Million.
Unchained Crypto says that this investment is subject to two years of vesting and it’s one of their largest investments in crypto.
This purchase took place before a16z announced its most recent fundraising, in which it revealed that the company had raised $7.2 billion for investments into American Dynamism, Games, Apps, Infrastructure, and Growth.
Ex-Revolut executive secures $6.55M for new hybrid exchange
Ruslan Fakhrutdinov is the former Head of Crypto Ops at Revolut. He has raised $6.5 Million to launch his new hybrid exchange x10.
X10 is a centralized platform with all the usual features, and also provides full-custody on-chain settlement, allowing its users fast throughput and low latency for DeFi permanents trading.
“We want to give our users and traders the best of both worlds. Imagine the features and the speed of Coinbase or Binance but with full self-custody,” Fakhrutdinov made the statement in a Blockworks-reviewed press release.
Fakhrutdinov has been added. “The FTX situation, where users only got back a third of their funds, serves as a wake-up call for the industry. It urges us to reinforce trust and efficiency in crypto trading through on-chain trade settlement, validation, and self-custody.”
