FIFA and Mythical games announced their collaboration on Friday to launch FIFA Rivals. The app is a licensed free-to-play football game for iOS or Android.
The release date is set for 2025. Players will be able manage their own clubs and compete with other players through real-time arcade gameplay.
FIFA Rivals will feature an in-game market where players can exchange football stars with NFT collectibles using the Mythos blockchain.
“Our goal (with FIFA Rivals) is to replicate our success with previous Rivals games and set new benchmarks in the Web3 gaming sector,” John Linden is the CEO and founder of Mythical Games.
Mythical Games, the Web3 gaming studio that created NFL Rivals, has over 6 million downloads. Like FIFA Rivals players can trade NFT collectible player cards through the Mythical Marketplace.
Suntory Group tokenizes Premium Malt beer on Avalanche
Suntory Group, a global beverage company, announced on Tuesday that it would pilot a project to tokenize the Japanese Premium Malt’s bottle beer.
This limited release of Premium Malt bottles with tokens will be available to Japanese consumers on November 12.
Premium Malt’s beer bottles are equipped with a NFC tag. When opened and scanned the NFC tag will be collected by consumers.
Suntory Chief digital innovation officer Rio made the announcement at Thailand Blockchain Week “Popeye” Inaba and Ava Labs Japan’s head, Roi Higa.
