Karate Combat has announced that it will launch its layer-2 blockchain UP based on Hedera’s layer-1 network.
Over 100,000 users can earn tokens using the Up Only Gaming Software by correctly predicting fight results.
By correctly predicting the fight outcome, over 100,000 Up Only Gaming users can earn KARATE Tokens.
The UP layer-2 will be released in the first quarter of 2025. The $UP token will be released within that year with up to 30 percent of tokens going to KARATE holders.
“Karate Combat is already massively incentivized to spread its Up Only Gaming technology to other sports, esports, fantasy sports, crypto projects and more,” Karate Combat co-founder onlylarping said. “UP is the enabling technology to not only allow us to provide all the tech for free, but to give grants and our user base to early partners.”
Karate Combat’s newest competition, KC 50, is held in Salt Lake City. The fight will be between David Hoffman (co-founder Bankless) and Kain Warswick (co-founder Infinex).
Polemos and Buff partner up
On Wednesday, the blockchain gaming asset management platform Polemos announced a partnership with Buff.game — a gaming company that runs a loyalty program for over 15 million players across games like Dota 2, Fortnite, League of Legends, Valorant and more.
Polemos’ asset management wallet, as well as its non-collateralized loan solution, will be used to enable gamers to lend, trade and borrow in-game assets without needing to pay an initial investment.
