Chainalysis has released data last week about the launch of Trump coins, revealing who is in possession and where it came from. Data shows that most holders hold less than 100 dollars, which indicates that this coin is heavily held by retailers.
Chainalysis says that an analysis of wallet ages shows that many retail crypto buyers are relatively new. The chart shows that most people have opened wallets recently, while only 16% are holders of wallets for over a month. 
The real question is, according to Dragonfly’s Rob Hadick: Will these wallet owners become participants of the ecosystem as well?
“A lot of people took [the Chainalysis] report to suggest that the TRUMP token was a mass onboarding event, primarily because 50% of TRUMP/MELANIA token holder wallets were net new to SOL altcoins,” He said.
“But that continues to make the same wallet/user fallacies and misses the distinction between interest in TRUMP vs onchain users that are value additive and contribute capital to the broader ecosystem.”
He added that there are people who have asked about this space outside the cryptosphere. Personal experience confirms this. Attention and action, however, are very different. So far this is not leading to mass adoption.
Maybe that’s asking too much. We may need to be content with piqueing interest for the time being. Adoption may come along with specific use cases.
