The Information, Reuters and Reuters reported that Apple is working with Broadcom, a manufacturer of chips, to develop a codenamed chip, Baltra. Reports indicate that the mass production of this chip will begin by 2026.
According to reports, the chip will be manufactured using an advanced production process by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company TSM. TSM is a supplier of Apple and Nvidia chips.
Broadcom’s shares soared over 6% during Wednesday afternoon trading. Apple gained 0.2% and TSMC rose 1.3%.

Apple Intelligence’s AI for iPhone 16 as well as other Apple devices received several updates on Wednesday via iOS 18.2. These included the integration of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, a generative AI-based chatbot.
Apple stated that the update will allow its digital assistant Siri to provide users with the answer to their queries without having to switch apps. Apple says customers can toggle the ChatGPT Integration on and off, while OpenAI does not save inputs without a ChatGPT Account.
