United Airlines (UAL), passengers who have lost their luggage, can now find it more quickly with the new integration of Apple (AAPL) AirTag and its mobile app.

Travelers who place AirTags in their checked bags can now directly provide location-tracking information to United through the airline's app. The carrier said this is meant to help United's customer service team more quickly track down a lost bag. United said that less than 1% of its passengers have experienced mishandled luggage. According to Bureau of Transportation Statistics, U.S. airlines had a rate of mishandled bag of 0.58 percent over the nine-month period of this year.

United started texting radar maps in real time using AI-generated tools earlier this year. “help customers understand how inclement weather in one part of the country can impact a flight elsewhere.” The app also offers automatic rebooking support during interruptions.

United’s shares have doubled their value in the past year, despite a decline of more than 1% intraday. Apple’s stock is expected to rise by about 30% between now and 2024.
